All About Dee

Welcome to the world of DeeBongDong!

I love changing my looks a lot so don’t be surprpised if this does not look like me irl.
Follow me on IG to keep track of my looks!

My name is Fides Dagongdong. I am currently a Masters student studying Human Rights LLM, whose work focuses on decolonisation, activism and feminism. I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and severe anxiety, and so I openly blog about my experiences with these disabilities.

My collaborative write up of the panel on ‘Decolonisation, Curriculum, Challenging Current Hierarchies’ at Keele Institute for Social Inclusion, ‘Tackling Inequalities’ Conference is published on Pluto Journals – collab w/ JSTOR. Currently, I am writing another collaborative article and hopefully publish it sometime late 2021/early 2022. My ambition to get more articles published do not end there as my personal academic work focuses on the eradication of child sex exploitation in the Philippines. With this, I hope to end this colonial legacy – or contribute to its eradication somehow. As long as it ends, then I’m okay with that.

At the moment, I run an IGTV series which is called What Decolonisation Means to Me and soon to start a podcast with my friend-colleague in which we talk about Decolonising our own lives with the IGTV series as a prompt.

Due to these amazing achievements, I have had many opportunities presented to me such as, regularly invited to decolonisation conferences. I am blessed to have been given the platform to be able to do so. No matter how small, I appreciate that I can be part of this massive human rights movement and contribute to the eradication of colonial oppression and its legacies.

My interests are so varied and quite random. As you can tell from the menu, I love animanga culture (animanga is different from Japanese culture itself, but that’s a blog post for another day). I love basketball and watching the NBA, and no, I don’t have a favourite team. Also, I love gaming. So any game recommendations, especially RPG or RPGmaker games, I’d truly appreciate it!

This blog are my thoughts and are not under any circumstances associated with anyone else (unless stated so). I will always try my hardest to reference and credit work, so if I have not done so – please do get in touch! I am all for accountability and learning, so please do reach out to me.

Be sure to stay updated!
